Those who keep bragging about how good they are, are actually trying to convince themselves. Let us respond with love and acceptance instead of irritation and judgement. Each of us is on a journey of acceptance and authenticity.
I may be right, I may be wrong, but I have this deep belief that everyone is exactly where they should be in their life and no matter how it seems to others, in the broader perspective, they are actually always okay. Sometimes it is pleasant, sometimes ferociously unpleasant, either way, they are okay, we are all okay. I find this perspective helps me keep a balanced mind no matter what kind of challenge I face or hear others are facing. And from a balanced mind appropriate responses naturally follow. And sometimes the appropriate response is to trust that others are capable of finding their own answers, even if they really don’t want to hear that at the time. All is well.
“Before you judge someone or get angry at them, think of 10,000 reasons that would have made them do what they did. Pausing to reflect and giving people the benefit of the doubt in this way helps us be more accepting and patient, and find a more balanced and wise response in every situation.”—
